Is it normal for my 2 year-old son to be constantly depressed?

My 2 year old child is acting very depressed lately. He has been getting enough sleep, and enough food. He has plenty of energy to my knowledge, and he has plenty of toys and friends to play with. Yet he still acts like he is very depressed. I have taken off work, and have been doing fun things, but he just doesn’t seem to be in a good mood. He doesn’t have the symptoms of bipolar, his mood doesn’t change, he just is acting depressed. I have given him homeopathic remedies, and talked to the pediatrician, but nothing seems to help. He has been like this for more than a week.

He needs to be evaluated in person by a doctor. It could be physical. But if he is depressed, he needs to also be evaluated to get him into some kind of therapy.
