I wish to know about a homeopathic medicine called “Figure mate”.. Please help guyz.?

I’m a little bit fat due to thyroid problems and my doctor has prescribed this medicine to help me get rid of my few xtra pounds. I would like to know whether this medication is effective, if it has any side effects, what all things should I need to watch for when I’m on this medication.

Was this treatment recommended by your medical doctor or a homeopathic ‘doctor’? I couldn’t believe that a real medical doctor would prescribe a patient a homeopathic treatment…. and if they did, it’s time to find a new doctor.

I’ll explain what homeopathy is and I’m sure you’ll conclude as I have that Homeopathic remedies are just plain water and do absolutely nothing.

Basically homeopathy involves taking a chemical and diluting it many thousands of times in water. It is diluted so much that only a few molecules (often none) of the effective ingredient remain in the water. Homeopaths believe that the ‘vibrations’ or ‘memory’ of the effective ingredient remain in the water and that is what gets your body to cure itself. This is scientifically ridiculous and has been conclusively proven not to work. There is no such thing as water memory. If there was it’d surely remember all of the pollution and human waste that it’s come into contact with as well!

You’ll hear from many people here who believe in this treatment and even from some who have studied for years to be homeopaths. I do not doubt that they believe what they are saying/selling, but it has been conclusively proven in scientific trials to be not only ineffective, but scientifically impossible.

Because the treatments are just water (or water absorbed into a sugar pill) they are completely safe to take, however they become dangerous when people take homeopathic remedies INSTEAD of real ones. For example there is a horrible case in Australia at the moment where the parents of a baby girl have just been charged with the baby’s death for treating her homeopathically instead of with real medicine. So in conclusion, it won’t have any side effects because it is just water, but it also won’t do anything to help you. Don’t waste your money and hope on homeopathy.
